Happy Birthday to You, also known more simply as Happy Birthday, is a song that is traditionally sung to celebrate the anniversary of a person's birth. According to the 1998 Guinness Book of World Records, "Happy Birthday to You" is the most recognized song in the English language, followed by "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" and "Auld Lang Syne". The song's base lyrics have been translated into at least 18 languages.

Here is how I remember the melody of Happy Birthday:
This song, in its simplest form can be played with two chords. These are the I, IV and V or V7 chords in a major key. In the Key of C Major example here they are: C, F and G7.

Fingerings are not shown. Any fingering would only be a recommended fingering and not mandatory. For many chords there are alternate fingerings, with any particular fingering dependent how the chord is being used in relationship to its previous chord and the next chord.
